Born: January 15, 1952, Imishli, Azerbaijan

Education: Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, faculty of philology, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Baku State University, Law school

Professional background:

1972-1982: Teaching activity

1992-1995: First deputy editor of the "Ses" (Voice) newspaper.

1995-2005:  member of first, second, Parliament (Milli Majlis) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.              

2006 - Diplomatic rank - first grade Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary envoy of the Republic of Azerbaijan

2006-2010:  Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Istanbul, Turkey   

2012:  First deputy chairman of the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan                    

Awards:  Tereqqi" (Medal of "Progress") by Order of the President of the Republic of  Azerbaijan dated July 21, 2005, “Honorary Journalist” by the Order of July 20,  2015

He is a member of Board of Directors of Union of Azerbaijani Writers. He is the author of five political-publicistic and four artistic books.

Married, has three children and seven grandchildren.
