1978-1982: Teacher at secondary school

1985-2014:Lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor, the Head of Department, Prorector at Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts                   

1995-2010: Elected as a member of first, second, third, fourth Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Member of Committee on Legal Policy and State Building, Chairman of the Commission on Counting            

1996-2014: Member of the delegation of Azerbaijan to the parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, and Deputy Chairperson of the Committee

21.07.2014: Chairman to the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan           

Awards: 

“Shohrat” Order for the active participation in the public and political life of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Decree dated January 6, 2014 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Member of the Political Council of New Azerbaijan Party and Deputy Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party. 

He is the author of several scientific, scientific-publicistic, theoretical, political articles and a number of books.

Married, has two children.
